Irene Meneghetti, fantasist, '91 Class, Pro captain of St. Boniface is our guest today. A life in football, the provincial, between Real Fortitudo, Hellas Monteforte and now Pro San Bonifacio. A climb in five years from the series D to B crowning a dream. Last year with Hellas Monteforte (this year became Pro San Bonifacio) he won promotion to the B and won the Cup Veneto, realizing 5 goal.
110 Goals and 10 suffered all season (league and cup). The girls led by coach Dori ended the championship unbeaten with 18 victories and 2 draws for a total of 56 points. Now they are preparing for their first series B, two friendly matches already played for Verona: two wins respectively Bassano (6-0) and Fortitudo Mozzecane (2-1). The only thing that they failed to take home was the Super Cup Veneto, won last Sunday by Virtus Padua.
You started in the best way the season, two wins in the first two friendlies. Now Saturday will be rubbing shoulders with the newly-promoted Permac.
For us it is an important test. We see it even as a friendly but above all as a test to see if we are ready for this new category, also saw the importance of the opponent newly promoted to the top flight.
Category unpublished So this year for you, how you are preparing and what are your goals?
We started preparing the 18 August and we are working hard to. The company has made new purchases to enhance the experience and strengthen the team and the group. This is my first time, is all new. Our aim will be to save us and give our best in every game.
For you it is the first time in Serie B, what emotions they feel in wearing the shirt of your city in a league so important?
It is an emotion beautiful, even as a child I dreamed of making a long way. Reaching this category for me is a dream come true, after a training period. I will do my best and I hope to give a great contribution to the team.
